Who runs HTNet Solutions?
HTNet Solutions is ran by IT Professionals with over 10 years experience in the field.
We're based in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. However, when it comes to Internet services, the location of the servers is way more important than the location of the vendor.
In fact in this age and time, we're global anyway.
What makes you so sure that you can provide better web hosting solutions for Malaysians?
Hmm... that's a hard one. Let's see:
- We've been involved in setting up, maintaining and monitoring servers; on various OS platforms for over 10 years
- We've also been doing end user support for about just as long
- We can vouch for the stability of the servers because we're hosted on them ourselves
Additionally, we're Malaysians too. Therefore, we're already too familiar with the problems faced by locally hosted servers. We've gone through such experiences ourselves.
With HTNet Solutions, we're providing stable, viable and affordable offshore web hosting for Malaysians by Malaysians.
Are your services only for Malaysians?
For now, yes.
Some day this service might be extended internationally, but I can't make any promises.
As of January 2008, our services are available worldwide.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We're targetting Malaysians who are unable or are uncomfortable with using credit cards online.
Therefore, we only accept payments through cheques, direct fund transfer (either through ATMs, Internet banking or over-the-counter transactions), and whenever circumstances permit; cash.
HTNet Solutions only accept payments in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
For Malaysian customers, we accept payments through cheques, direct fund transfer (either through ATMs, Internet banking or over-the-counter transactions), and whenever circumstances permit; cash. If you want to pay via PayPal, this is possible as well. However, the rates will be less favourable and in US dollars.
For non-Malaysian customers, we can accept payments via PayPal. You will get specific information after placing your order.
Do you own the servers?
No. HTNet Solutions is a reseller. Nevertheless, it's ran by a someone who actually knows how to run a server properly. I'm not a web designer who runs hosting as a side business.
By the way, do you think HTNet Solutions can offer dedicated hosting at the rates we're charging? :)
As of January 2008 we have our own dedicated server.
So you're providing shared hosting?
Yes, and confident that HTNet Solutions' "shared server" can beat any so-called "dedicated" Malaysian web servers in terms of uptime, features and performance.
Technically, yes. However, we have specific limits on how many clients are hosted on a particular server. So you're having near-dedicated web service with limited neighbours.
We will never overload our servers, period.
How's the server's uptime?
Excellent! Thanks for asking.
The network equipment (SLA) uptime is 100%.
The uptime for HTNet Solutions' servers is 99.9%.
However, our uptime guarantee is a prudent 99%.
Bear in mind that the uptime does not include scheduled/maintenance downtime nor do they include downtime issues that are not related to our servers and datacenter; for example your ISPs technical issues.

SoftLayer for our previous server.
Our dedicated server purchased in January 2008 is located at 1102 GRAND, the largest carrier neutral facility in the Kansas City Metro area and is one of the fastest growing of its kind in the US Midwest.
